Charles Ubriaco was one of the casualties of the Sicilian-Neapolitan gang wars in New York City. On Sept. 7, 1916, he went into Brooklyn as the bodyguard for acting Mafia boss Nicholas Morello. The trip was intended to discuss peace terms with a Camorra group led by Pelligrino Morano and Allessandro Vollero. The Camorrists ambushed Morello and Ubriaco, killing both.
